Greeves Silverstones review

In the early 1960s, Greeves went into the road and circuit racing business by offering a production racer, and one such Greeves Silverstone motorcycle, chassis 24 RA which was made in 1962, is offered here. One of the first of the Greeves Silverstones, it is finished in blue, and has a Villiers Star Maker single-pot 250cc motor, which the vendor tells us has the benefit of extra engine mods by Greeves.

This was followed in 1965 by the variant offered here, the RCS which adopted a new fairing, duplex primary drive chain, revisions to the porting and expansion chamber which improved the engines flexibility and a new 7 inch twin leading shoe front brake from the British Hub Company that represented a vast improvement over the earlier models six inch item. More specs and user manual of Greeves Silverstones you can see in next overview.
