  Norton Dominator Norton  
In 1948 Nortons new twin appeared as a 500cc and soon became known as the Norton Dominator motorcycle. Although not particularly impressive, this changed with the introduction of the Featherbed frame in 1952. Bigger engines were introduced and production continued even after the Company was taken over in 1966. The final Dominator Norton, the 650cc Mercury, rolled down the line in 1970.

  Norton BS Norton  
Donovan, in concert with Bill Mansell, had by 1913 begun to modify the Norton TT model into the Brooklands Special racer, with a guarantee that the engine had exceeded 65m/ph for one lap at the track. Each fast engine was installed in a slave chassis. That test chassis, having housed so many quick and famous engines, gained the name Norton Old Miracle. The Norton BS motorcycle weighed just over 90kg.
