The Velocette Truxton Venom, designed in 1965 by Bertie Goodman, was almost an instant legend after a series of impressive results on various racing tracks, where its average speed often exceeded 100mph.
Following on from an advanced but unreliable twostroke that was originally designed for the TT, the company developed a powerful four-stroke with overheadcams. This classic design was the Velocette Model K and would become the blueprint for future models.
