Jesse Gregory James (born April 19, 1969) is a world-renowned customizer, show-man, American TV star, who broke a path to history riding iron horses. There was a rumor (but this claim was cast away by The James Preservation Trust), that he is a remote kinsman to legendary American cowboy Jesse James, who was an outlaw and after his death became a national hero (though, as a rule, people hate rouges more, than law).

Jesse James' West Coast Choppers, which is in Long Beach in California, builds radial motorbikes, cars and aeroplanes. The whole world could see his creations in docusoap «Monster Garage».

His West Coast Choppers, which Jesse founded in his mother's garage in 1992, grew fast and soon moved to a separate location. West Coast Choppers built nearly 200 exclusive choppers.

In 2000, Discovery Channel did a documentary Motorcycle Mania, in which routine life of James was shown. This movie was successful and Jesse suggested Discovery Channel to make a show, which was called Monster Garage, in which he and his team remade cars for a short time.

The opening of his show "Jesse James is a Dead Man" was on 31 May, 2009. The show set a record: it was watched by more than 2 million viewers. In this show James does tricks challenging death.

Besides, Jesse owns "Cisco Burger" restaurant, which was opened on 28 April, 2006; it is placed on the same street as West Coast Choppers.

Jesse has 3 children: 2 daughters and son (Jesse James). He was also married to actress Sandra Bullock.

Cyrile Huze posted information in his blog that West Coast Choppers ceised to exist. But they still produce frames and parts, which could be bought in Custom Chrome shop.

The news caused contradictory reaction among American riders. Many people claimed, that Jesse's bikes had nothing to offer, except looks, extremely heavy weight and very high price. And the time of these bikes passed, and people don't want to pay for chrome clot. Another said that West Coast Choppers was "American workshop for Americans", and now, with it and Buell falling into oblivion, this term just disappeared. Everliving Harley-Davidson, which is not changing for many years, does not count.

There is a new generation of Americans grownig, which would like to see in their garage not some "legend", of which beardy veterans like to talk, but modern, reliable, powerful, fancy and, more important, American vehicle. These people need a symbol - something like "Ducati under the Stars and Stripes".

In october 2010, Jesse James ceised custom building in his West Coast Choppers. He decided to return to Texas and focus on his business. The West Coast Choppers built real works of chopper art, which became well-know due to Jesse James' participation in "Monster Garage" TV show.
