The history of sportbike Kawasaki GPX600R starts in 1988, when it replaced Kawasaki GPZ600, until its production ciesed in 1996. Despite the fact that nowadays this bike is classified as sport-tiurist, at that time it referred to classic sportbikes with full plastic body kit and 4-cylinder engine.

The speciality of Kawasaki GPX 600R is 4-cylinder engine with liquid cooling, producing 85 hp power and 58 Nm torque. The engine maximum speed is 9000-11000 rpm. Among other peculiarities of this motorcycle are steel pipe frame, simple suspensions: telescopic fork and progressive rear shock absorber, 16' wheels, 6-speed gearbox and 180 kg of dry weight.
